June 'n Bloom

A June garden is truly in bloom. The sweet smell of the Japanese tree lilacs permeates the air while the blazing orange Oriental Poppies put on a dazzling display. The water lilies are popping up in the pond and the peonies are nodding their approval.

Cool off in the shade garden where you'll find some inspiring solutions to your shade garden issues. Combinations of flowers and foliage shine in the dappled light, in a variety of shapes, sizes, textures and colors.

You will be able to plant your own 'pet' or 'green roof' birdhouse during our workshop. Choose from a variety of quality, pre-mossed frames, durable and suitable for indoor or outdoor use, or a hand-crafted wooden birdhouse. Price is determined by size and style of chosen form. Assorted plant material will be available at no additional charge, including ivies, sedums, thymes and more. Let your imagination be your guide. A fun project the whole family can enjoy!

At this workshop you will learn what plants work well, planting techniques, tips for training and 'grooming' as well as providing post-planting TLC (tender loving care). We will have several pre-planted topiaries for sale when we open, as well as a list of available frames, so you may want to stop in and get some ideas. You may also bring in a previously purchased frame and replant it for a small fee.
