This is a rare plant, with lobed leaves which gradually take shape as they mature. The foliage starts out simple and heart shaped, as is the case with the foliage of most Philodendrons. It is green, with an attractive sheen to it. But with time, five lobes become prominent on each leaf, transforming the leaf shape into that of a modified fleur-de-lis. The plant will flower in its native habitat, but it would be very unexpected to have it bloom indoors. Instead, this houseplant its grown for its its interesting foliage. Keep your pets away from this plant, but place it in a spot where you can really enjoy the sight of it. A gorgeous houseplant!
