Care:

This plant prefers moist to well-drained soil. While it can tolerate some dryness, you will want to water it frequently.

No extra fertilizers are needed for this easy-care plant. Drainage should be excellent so that standing water can be avoided. In general, Eroidums like slightly alkaline soil, so position this plant accordingly. Divide it in spring if you like, and if you find your winters are too cold for this plant, dig it up for overwintering in a sunny spot indoors for outdoor replanting in spring.

Description:

One of our Top 10 best plants for miniature and fairy gardens. Bishop Form Heron's Bill is a perennial ground cover that grows to 3-4" tall and spreads to 2'. It can however be kept to a smaller size for a miniature garden. It features pink flowers and blooms in spring through fall. It is ideally suited for part sun in hot climate areas, but it can tolerate full sun as part of our Wisconsin summers. This serves as a nice small-scale ground cover and is a great addition to a mixed container planting. It creates a dynamic display of pink/rosy five-petal blooms. All flowers are veined in deep fuchsia and give off a colorful profusion of pink. Deep green, lobed leaves make up the foliage and, when planted in mass, make an attractive ground cover. If you place this Erodium in a sunroom, it will stay blooming in the winter as well.
