This hardy plant can survive low temperatures.

Go easy on the water; this plant will not tolerate overwatering. Try to be sure the top layers of soil have dried out before you apply water. Like so many plants, this ground cover does not want wet feet or soggy roots. 

Stonecrops are a special and very low-maintenance type of ground cover, and Sedum spurium John Creech is one of our favorites due to its quick-spreading nature. The leaves of this succulent plant are small and scalloped, with a delicate look and a strong personality. As the months change, so do the colors, as the foliage and stems turn a deep burgundy in the fall, and small pink flowers bloom during the warmer months (late summer). Consider this ground cover plant for rock gardens, edging, walls, and even pots or other containers. It will grow to a height of about 2" tall.
