Care:

Succulents, known for their moisture-storing capacity, have evolved to survive hot environments. In general, the surrounding temperature should fall somewhere between 40 and 95 degrees F. They should be watered every 2 – 3 weeks. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. In the wintertime, you will need to water them less often. Overwatering can lead to leaf loss, misshapen leaves, root rot, and yellow leaves.

Most thrive with about 3 to 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Occasionally, too much sunlight can cause scorch marks and brown spots. With too little light, the plant may stretch its leaves outward.

These drought-resistant desert-dwellers are versatile and come in a variety of sizes, colors, and shapes. Be sure to research your specific succulent variety to provide the care it needs.

Tight growing conditions are not a problem for this plant, which does not mind getting a bit rootbound.

Description:

This plant shows off very interesting five-pointed yellow star-shaped flowers. Each flower is banded in brown, with what looks like a dark red lifesaving ring. This succulent is a low-grower with square stems that develop soft teeth at the edges. The flowers emerge throughout the year. This makes for a fun fairy garden plant.
