Keep this tropical plant cozy, with fairly high humidity which can be achieved in a terrarium or with the help of a pebble tray. Ensure moist soil at all times, allowing only the top layer to dry out just a bit between waterings. Feed with regular houseplant fertilizer from time to time, and prune spent flowers to keep the plant tidy. Situate in bright, indirect light.

Despite this plant's fierce looks, with spikes and all, it is very much in-demand... a rare collector's plant. If you collect begonias or unusual houseplants in general, this one will add ovate green foliage with chunky dark-red/black spikes which are very dramatic. Then, from time to time and to soften its fierceness, it blooms in pretty pink. The Fierce Begonia is relatively simple to care for, but it looks exotic as can be. A neat conversation piece!
