Plant in sun to partial shade. (Brighter is better for this cultivar.) Ensure moderate moisture, but brief periods with dry soil are fine. This cultivar likes well-draining soil. In spring, remove any small shoots that grow near the trunk.You can easily keep this plant pruned to maintain its height and shape. It will tolerate dryness, and when restricting the root system, it makes an excellent choice for a bonsai tree.

This is a dwarf version of the fruiting dwarf pomegranate that is perfect for the fairy garden or container. This small deciduous shrub has attractive, glossy green leaves and beautiful bright orange-red flowers that appear on the tips from early summer through fall. It flowers during the hot days of July and August and might even flower during the winter if giving enough light. The small 2” fruits are edible, hanging on the plant for many months and adding to its ornamental value. This compact cultivar is easy to grow as a houseplant.
